You can get started with airbrush tattoos in a number of ways. Single color tattoos with a stencil are easy to do even for a newcomer.
Basically, single color tattoos involve spraying a background pattern over the stencil design. You can even use existing equipment you already have.
For example, if you are an airbrush tanner you probably have a .5 mm needle/nozzle combo bottom feed airbrush. This large nozzle/bottle combination is
good for high throughput but does not provide the most precise control of detail. But for single color designs, this is not a big issue.
But, if you want to do multi-color designs with attention to detail, you'll want an airbrush suited for this purpose. A .35 mm or smaller needle nozzle provides
the necessary detail. If you are changing colors in a single airbrush system, a top feed airbrush with a small cup easily accomodates the small amount of ink needed
for designs without the bulk and clumsiness of a bottom feed bottle.
However, if you want the ability to quickly change colors without in between clean up, we provide attachments that can connect multiple airbrushes to a single compressor. These
attachments, called manifolds, can accomodate multiple airbrushes loaded with their own dedicated colors. Typically, a bottom feed airbrush with a 1 Oz bottle is a good
choice for such systems since you just grab the airbrush with the color you need and use it -- no flushing of colors before loading the next color. To keep system costs
down, we provide a quality, economical dual action bottom feed airbrush. You'll find this to be a better approach than the expensive color change systems on the market that
are designed to use fewer airbrushes.
Regardless of budget or skill level, we have a way to introduce you to this exciting field that you can afford. The kits and products described below are designed
to provide various entry points to airbrush tattooing: from adapting existing airbrushes and/or compressors to full featured kits, and to professional kits with
quick change multiple color capability.
