Airbrush Cleaner
All airbrush tanning solutions, even those that are aloe vera based or alcohol based are predominantly water.
So, a heavy cleaner is not necessary to keep your airbrush in a clean, operable state. You should keep a 2 ounce
solution bottle containing cleaner to flush and clean your airbrush after prolonged periods of disuse during the day
and at the end of the day.
The Tanning Store may soon offer a cleaner for sale. But a perfectly acceptable cleaner may be devised from cheap,
commonly available ingredients such as windex and water. Several formulas are given below. The first two have been presented
on airbrush sites on the web. Just mix it up and store in a commonly available container such as a large empty soda bottle.
Formula One
1 Part Windex
9 Parts Water
1 Tablespoon Ammonia
Note that ammonia can tarnish chrome. So you may consider dropping this last ingredient for a cleaner for airbrush tanning solution.
Formula Two
2 Parts distilled water
1 part windex
1 part Simple Green
Formula 3
2 parts distilled water
1 part isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol
a few drops of dawn detergent.
