ULTRAMYST vs HVLP TURBINE SYSTEMS
A direct comparison between our UltraMyst system and the typical HVLP tanning system
|
Welcome to our UltraMyst vs HVLP Turbines page!
This page outlines and compares our UltraMyst HVLP system with other turbine HVLP systems found on the market. A 5-point chart is displayed below, hilighting the basic qualities of both systems in a speed-read, head-on comparison format. Click on a specific comparison to read in detail about these conclusions below the chart. |

• Noise Level
Typical turbine compressors utilize what are essentially reverse vacuum cleaner motors that produce a loud, high pitched noise. UltraMysts use dual tandem compressors instead of these obnoxious motors, making it the quietest HVLP available without sacrificing air flow.

• Hose Size
Unsightly, bulky hoses seem to be a defining standard of turbine systems. While it can be an acceptable look it a body shop or similar environment, the UltraMyst uses a small, lightweight hose to compliment a salon-type setting.

• Spray Gun Qualities
Standard HVLP systems come with large, heavy guns that overcompensate in power for the purpose of spray tanning. UltraMyst uses an exceptionally designed gun that combines the superb characteristics of both a spray gun and an airbrush. This gun is lightweight and provides great control and is about half the size of a turbine spray gun.

• Speed Advantage
Many HVLP units claim a 5-minute tan, a 2-minute tan, or some other unrealistic timeframe of a tanning session, so many that we have a seperate informational page debunking these myths here. While a spray gun does produce a faster result than an airbrush tan simply due to a spray gun's wider coverage range, these claims are very misleading or downright deceptive because any 5-minute spray tan will leave shoddy results.
The UltraMyst is just as fast as these systems, with no compromise in quality of airflow or fluid flow. We don't quote a session time for this system, as superior, professional results always rate over speed when giving a spray tan.

• Price
True, capable HLVP systems are hard to find anywhere under $500. Buying anything under that price can result in a system inferior parts or shoddy craftsmanship which easily ends with an inferior tan. However, the UltraMyst rivals those systems in the $1,000 range but can be priced under $500 because of its 3G technology and dual tandem compressors it uses in place of a motor, ultimately saving production costs.

• System Design
Most HVLP systems are adapted from units that were not originally designed for spray tanning. This is evident in the off-the-shelf models that are designed to spray thicker fluids than tanning solution, such as paints. The UltraMyst is perfectly designed, not just adapted, for spraying tanning solutions at the perfect atomization, assuring the spray tanning performance of the UltraMyst.
